(Yes, our main form of communication is through texting. We are so 21st century.)
Me: Divorce papers filed on July 24, 2013, should
be able to meet with judge after September 26th. Office will mail
papers today to be signed to start temporary orders until the final decree is signed by the judge.
Jeff: What if I don’t sign?
Me: You don’t have to
sign the papers to still be held for child support. The signing agrees to the
rest of the additional terms (child custody, additional payments for mortgage,
car, preschool…)
Me: If you don’t sign
the papers at all, the divorce proceedings become halted because it is then
contested. You would need to hire your own personal lawyer to represent you.
Me: Are you
considering not signing?
Jeff: I dunno
Me: You want to hire
your own lawyer?
Jeff: : No. Not at all.
Me: We agreed to the
terms, I thought?
Jeff: I don’t have issues
with the terms.
Me: Then I don’t understand.
Jeff: I’m second guessing
everything.
Me: Whomp, there it
is! I see.Jeff: You watch too much Pitch Perfect.
Me: Aca-scuse me?
Jeff: Wow.
I love you. I love this blog. I love your honesty. And your hilariousness.
