So I am a couple weeks late, but Ella's 18 month appointment would have fallen over Thanksgiving, and it was just too busy to deal with a trip to our doctor's office. So...she had a runny nose, a pathetic cough and a total 15 minute tantrum this morning, so I figured it was time to call the doctor. They got me in with my favorite doctor an hour later!! (Have I ever told you how much we love our Family Practitioner??) I was able to kill two birds with one stone, luckily.
She had an inflamed throat and a bit of a rattle in her lungs and a super yucky nose, so we got a prescription and hopefully she will be back to her happy self in a couple of days! This is the FIRST EVER time she has been sick and had to take prescribed meds. :( I suppose it was bound to happen eventually. I am very thankful that Ella is (usually) such a healthy little girl.
Height: 31.5 inches (48%)
Weight: 20lbs (3%)
Favorite Food: Any homemade soup, charro beans & Mexican rice
Favorite Toy: Her baby stroller and a Halloween trick-or-treating pumpkin
Favorite Accessory: BRACELETS!! She cannot wear enough of them...she turn everything into bracelets (rubber bands, necklaces, stacking rings)
Favorite Music: Katy Perry (??) it makes her dance every time!
Favorite Friend: Natalie followed closely by Ryder. She gives Ryder hug and KISSES!! Natalie is her bestie, they get so excited when they see each other, its seriously adorable!
Favorite Activity: Walking. I swear, she would walk around the neighborhood 100 times if she didnt have to hold an adults hand when crossing the street. :)
Ella took an art class this semester with all her friends and their mommies. We have an awesome Mommies Group which is so amazing, considerate and down-to-earth. It really has been such a great group of ladies and the social aspect is great for Ella and me. She really didnt care about the "art" part of the class, but LOVED the songs and musical instruments at the end of class. I think that we will try and find a music class for next semester. Ella may be a drumming prodigy.
Ella has decided to cut her schedule down to only one 2-2.5 hour nap. She was taking 2 naps until about a month ago. I tell you, that girl needs her sleep. At night she sleeps from 7pm-7:30am. She has been sleeping though the night since 9months, and let me tell you, it makes all the difference in the world!
We are working on getting rid of her bottle. She WILL NOT give it up. I have tried literally a dozen different kinds, colors, shapes, characters...she will drink water our of them, but never milk. Ugh. The other day we decided just to take it away, cold turkey. It didnt last long, she threw the BIGGEST fit for what seemed like forever. Jeff and I decided that we are going to pick or battles and her bottle just isnt one of them.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and we wish you a Happy Holiday and spectacular New Year!
