5 years from now...

So, I have been thinking...
I am super excited to see where I am in 5 years. Not physically, I am sure we will be in the same house in our little neighborhood with our favorite restaurants and our Prius. But, where we will be as people, as a family. I turned 29 this year and I can honestly say that I could not be more excited about turning 30. I feel like the 30's will be a good decade. Old enough to have learned from past mistakes and young enough to continue making new ones. I guess I have always looked at the 30's as the decade that you finally reach "adulthood", leaving your crazy 20's and college life behind, entering a nice groove of family, friends and social life.

Let see in 5 years...

Ella will be 6.5years old, in 1st grade.

A new kid will be 3-4 years old.

Jeff and I will have been married for 8.5 years.

Hopefully all credit card bills will be totally paid off.

I will have found a hobby.

The world will have not ended in 2012.

I will have learned to make a pot roast without ruining it.

We will have new carpet and the soapstone counter tops that I have been dreaming about (and the mother of pearl subway tile backsplash).

We will have a close group of great friends for Margarita Mondays and lazy Saturday BBQs.

Jeff will be on his way to his Master Sommelier certification.

And our family will be healthy, happy, prosperous...blah, blah, blah... :)

Let me be clear that I am not in a hurry to skip over the next 5 years, but just excited to see where we will be in the future. I have loved getting older so far, and truly am eager to see what is in store for the Solomons.
